Diarized vs Reclaim (2026): the same model, two different answers
Reclaim is the competitor most like Diarized. It also reads your existing task app instead of replacing it. The honest comparison comes down to free-plan breadth, habits, and whether you want to see the reasoning behind every block.
The short answer is this. Reclaim and Diarized share the model that matters: both read the task app you already use (Todoist, Asana, Jira, ClickUp, Linear, Google Tasks) and schedule into your real calendar. If Reclaim is working for you, that is a good reason to stay, and this page is written by the competitor. Choose Reclaim for habits and meeting tools; choose Diarized for a wider free plan, more task apps, and a visible reason behind every block.
Where the two agree
Neither asks you to move your tasks in. Both order work by priority and use due dates to break ties. Both treat your existing meetings as immovable. This is the correct shape for the product, and Reclaim built it years before we did.
Free plans, as of August 2026
Reclaim's free tier connects Google Tasks only; reading any other task app starts at $10 per seat a month. Diarized's free plan reads any one of its nine task apps with one calendar account, and the paid plan is $5 a month. If your tasks are in Todoist or Jira and you want to try before paying, that is the practical difference on day one.
What Reclaim does better
Habits (recurring personal time it defends and reschedules automatically) plus buffer time between events, meeting booking links, and task splitting with minimum and maximum session lengths. Diarized has none of those today; splitting is the gap we name on our own roadmap. Reclaim is also part of Dropbox now, which cuts both ways: more resources, and the history of acquired schedulers is not comforting. Clockwise was acquired and shut down with a week's notice in March 2026.
What Diarized does better
It comes down to explanation and breadth. Every Diarized block carries a link to the actual decision (which tasks outranked it, which gaps were too short, which meeting pushed it) because placement is a deterministic algorithm, not a model described with adjectives. Nine task sources including Notion, TickTick and Microsoft To Do, which Reclaim does not read. And deadline honesty: Diarized tells you when a task will not be finished in time, or refuses to book it, your choice.
Running both against the same task app double-books everything. If you trial Diarized alongside Reclaim, point them at different task apps, or switch Reclaim's scheduling off first. The switching guide has the order.
